Every year in Beijing, many travellers choose to stay in the city's vibrant youth hostels, as the atmosphere is more homey and welcoming than in bigger hotels. Here at Sanlitun Youth Hostel our staff will endeavour to do all they can to make your stay as comfortable as possible, their knowledge of local culture and places of interest being second-to-none.
Our hostel is located opposite the Workers Stadium in Sanlitun. "Sanlitur", as it is know to the locals, is close to the Embassy district, as well as being in the heart of the bar and nightlife district.
Within our vicinity there are a huge variety of restaurants selling all kinds of delicious international cuisine. In addition, there are many traditional restaurants selling wonderful Chinese dishes to suit every traveller’s budget.
The atmosphere in our hostel is both peaceful and relaxing, and the beds are some of the comfiest in Beijing, so we can ensure that you get a good night’s sleep after a long day exploring both the fascinatingly historical and wonderfully modern city. Our hostel offers both high quality hotel-standard rooms and dorm rooms. In addition to dorm rooms, singles, doubles, triples and ensuites are all available. Telephones are available in some rooms, and there is also both wi-fi internet access as well as on-line computer terminals.
Free tourist information is available from our friendly, fluently English-speaking staff, and train and plane tickets can be booked for anywhere in China.
We would like to invite you to our restaurant, which offers a variety of western dishes as well as the best choice of authentic Chinese cuisine. In the evening, our Travelers’ Café provides an excellent opportunity to meet and greet other people within a warm and welcoming atmosphere, or you may just relax and ‘get away from it all’ whilst enjoying a long cool beer.
The famous YaShou shopping market is 2 minutes’ walk from our hostel: within you can buy all types of designer-clothing brands for a mere fraction of the price in the West. In addition, there are many local fashion boutiques, jewelry shops, hair stylists and beauty salons, massage salons, men's fashion + sports wear shops, hospitals, doctors’ and dentists’ offices, pharmacies, opticians, and souvenir shops. There is also an abundance of western food outlets (for example KFC, McDonalds etc.), pizzerias and cafes found in the immediate local area. You will literally be spoilt for choice!
Close to the hostel are both a Post Office and a bank, which makes changing money, withdrawing cash and sending home gifts and parcels both easy and convenient.
